For the surface textures I came up with a nice algorithm of material expressions to replicate a water flowing down the side of the building. From there I was able to copy it to each unique texture, making the falling rain that much more believable.
Also, it might be hard to tell in the screenshot but the rain itself has a seperate distortion on it, bending the scenery a bit.

I love your rain. It is awesome and your level design is the best I've ever seen. Please keep us posted on all the new designs.
